Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one who lives in this country. Every corner you turn to you are confronted with rising poverty. I have never seen Kenyans this deflated and frustrated.

The last time we had such high levels of hawking in Nairobi CBD was in 2002 just before we showed the insanely incompetent and corrupt KANU government the door.

After countless hours of poring through government financial statements as published in the Kenya Gazette, I can confirm without a shadow of doubt that most of the money borrowed has gone into waste and will never deliver a return that can ensure smooth repayment.

Anyone who says Jubilee has transformed our economy needs an urgent checkup unless they are talking of negative transformation. Saying that the KShs 2.4 trillion Jubilee has borrowed in four years will bring returns in future is daydreaming. If there was any truth in that the signs would be there. Kenyans would be facing that future with confidence.

It is a shocking shame that due to ethnic radicalization Kenyans who are victims of this mess cannot act with the necessary courage and clarity. It feels so hopeless yet in less than a week you can save our country.

Ephraim Njega this is a winner.
